Shopify is becoming increasingly popular, so how well does with work with Worldwide Brands – the oldest directory of drop shippers and wholesalers? For more information about WWB read this Worldwide Brands review as well.
Making Money with Shopify and AliExpress.com
Most people who set up Shopify stores use Oberlo (an app for Shopify) and AliExpress.com to find suppliers and manage orders. Using Ali Express is a great way to find low priced products – but there are a few issues many buyers on AliExpress.com often encounter.
The first is that delivery can take more than a month in some cases – far too slow for most drop shipping businesses in the United States, where customers are more used to next day delivery than '20 to 40 day delivery' times.
Another problem is the reliability of suppliers – many are legitimate but products produced in China do not have the best reputation in the United States and Europe yet, especially electronics. Also, fragile items are often damaged in transit – resulting in high refund rates, especially after a slow delivery service too.
Worldwide Brands solves some of these issues – they are a directory of drop shippers and wholesalers like AliExpress, but as nearly all the suppliers are based in the United States shipping times and quality are often better.
The disadvantage to using Worldwide Brands is that there is no app, like Oberlo, that enables you to just import products directly to your store from the wholesaler.
