NJAWBO Essex 7th Annual Diversity Luncheon, May 15
Four Generations in the Workplace: An Intriguing Diversity Issue
The Essex Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO Essex) will hold its 7thAnnual Spring Diversity Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 11:00am–2:00pm, at Il Tulipano, 1131 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, New Jersey. The annual event’s ongoing theme, Embracing Diversity and Empowering Women, reflects the importance of optimizing collaboration for business success.
Keynote Speaker – Laurel Bernstein
The keynote speaker is Laurel Bernstein, president of Executive Coaching, a Bloomfield, New Jersey–based consulting and training firm focused on enhancing the performance and leadership skills for small business owners.
Her keynote address is entitled, Four Generations in the Workplace: An Intriguing Diversity Issue. For the first time in history, there are four generations in the workplace—and they’re not getting along as well as they could. Recognizing the multi-generational workplace as a new diversity issue, Bernstein’s keynote address will discuss the challenge of having four generations in the workplace, demonstrate how they react to each other, suggest ways that all generations can work better with one another, and provide insight as to how these differences can be resolved. The ultimate goals of embracing our differences—no matter what they are—and learning to work well together should be more harmony and patience in the workplace, which will benefit productivity, knowledge, and experience. A productive, knowledgeable, and experienced workforce that learns from each other and builds on their combined efforts provides the momentum for steady growth.
